Utahsaves.org is a statewide social marketing campaign which works to to build long-term economic stability and prevent poverty by helping all Utahns build wealth, reduce debt, and create lifelong financial security.

The “Earn It. Keep It. Save It” Initiative works to improve family financial stability by educating Utahns about the Earned Income Tax Credit and helping eligible households claim the credit by providing Volunteer Income Tax Assistance linked to financial information and asset formation opportunities.

United Ways of Utah also work together on statewide public policy initiatives connected to community priorities.
 

In communities throughout Utah, United Ways improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of their communities. United Ways are partners in change, working with a broad range of people and organizations to identify and resolve pressing community issues. United Ways have led the nonprofit sector in the call for transparent accountability and measurable results.

To achieve measurable, lasting change, United Ways identify and build on community strengths and assets, help individuals and groups with specific community interests find ways to contribute their time and talents, support direct-service programs and community-change efforts, and advocate for public policy changes.

All of this is done in collaboration with diverse partners. United Ways work with schools, government agencies, businesses, organized labor, financial institutions, community development corporations, voluntary and neighborhood associations, faith groups, and others.

Because of the unique conditions in each community, the issues United Ways in Utah address are determined locally, and money donated to a local United Way stays in that community.
